This implies that Transmode supports and respects the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights not only at our workplace but also within the Transmode sphere of influence. In the area of Labor this means, among other things, a respect for the right for all employers and all workers to freely and voluntarily establish and join organizations of their own choice, that no person is employed who is below the minimum legal age for employment, and that Transmode will not treat employees differently or less favorably because of characteristics that are not related to their merit or the inherent requirements of the job. The use of Transmode products and solutions has the potential to reduce the green house gas emissions, as these enable the efficient use of services such as web conferencing, teleconferencing and net meetings for interaction between people. These services will be required to reduce global travel and the associated negative environmental impact. In addition to this, Transmode uses low power consumption design criteria in the development process. Thereby, the environmental impact by the product range will continuously be reduced over time as new, more efficient products evolve. Transmode are measuring the carbon footprint for the company since 2010. The basis for the verification procedure for determining the carbon footprint is the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol), the most widely used international accounting tool for government and business leaders to understand, quantify, and manage greenhouse gas emissions. The World Resources Institute and the World Business Council has developed the GHG Protocol for Sustainable Development. * UN Global Compacts’ 10 principles derived from: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, The International Labor Organization's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, The Rio Declaration on Environment and Development and The United Nations Convention Against Corruption |
